One of the many ways to spend a family holiday is camping in Sydney. There is a variety of caravan parks in Sydney, that you are sure to find one that will suite your family needs. With the many holiday parks, there will be one in the area you want to stay, near the activities you want to do.

- Active Holidays BIG4 Nepean River
The Active Holidays BIG4 Nepean River is located between the Blue Mountains and the city of Sydney, at the Emu Plains. You have direct access to Penrith, from the Emu Plains, and can also enjoy the M4 motorway. You can travel to Penrith, Sydney, and Parramatta by car or by train, which is within an hour travel.

The Lane Cove River Tourist Park – Caravan Park is close to Sydney, as well as near Lane Cove National Park. The caravan park offers motorhome, campervan, or caravan camping. There are approximately 206 campsites available. Enjoy picnic tables, amenities block, showers, toilets, wireless internet, café/kiosk, and drinking water.
- Cattai Campground
If you are on a campervan driving tour, the Cattai Campground is a beautiful place to stay for the weekend. Your family will enjoy the barbecue and the family friendly areas, as well as the perfect campsite that will help you relax while the kids explore. - Cockatoo Island Camping
The Cockatoo Island Camping is located on the waterfront of Cockatoo Island, about 15 minutes from Circular Quay by ferry. This is an exciting experiment in camping, as it is the first waterfront campsite in the middle of a city. The island is a national heritage-listed island, with camping packages, campsites, and glamping packages.

The Bents Basin Campground is easy to reach from the Sydney suburbs. Trees border the campground with a grassy area. The campsites can accommodate either a tent or a caravan, or even a trailer, whichever you and your family prefer to use for your camping needs, or even a large group of friends.
- Kingfisher Pool Campground
The Kingfisher Pool Campground is in the middle of Heathcote National Park, being north west of Waterfall train station. The Kingfisher pool is located approximately 50m below the campground, so you can access the site easily. The campground is only accessible by foot, in accordance with the Heathcote National Park’s requirement of vehicle-free access.
Camping in Sydney is a great way to experience the country and you should try to experience as many of the parks as you are able. This popular pastime is becoming the preferred to travel and spend holidays with your family.
